Great American Cleanup-Information
YOUR GROUP IS INVITED TO HELP KEEP CHARLOTTE
BEAUTIFUL!
GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP DAY & SPECIAL EVENTS

Dear Group Representative:

As a participant of prior year’s Keep Charlotte Beautiful Great
American Cleanup Day your group has already made a commitment to
our community’s quality of life by picking up litter from unkempt
streets, roads, blocks, parks and waterways. This spring, your
organization can make a difference by joining Keep Charlotte
Beautiful, Inc. for the Charlotte County Great American Cleanup Day on
March 5, 2011. As our community continues to revitalize itself to a
more beautiful place to live, your help is needed.

Last year more than 2,700 volunteers participated in Charlotte County.
If you are an Adopt-A-Road or Adopt-A-Shore group, we are asking you
to schedule your next cleanup for March 5th in conjunction with the
Great American Cleanup event or during the month of March or April.
Please let us know if you are participating on an alternate date. Keep
America Beautiful, Inc., the nation's premier litter prevention and
education organization, sponsors the Great American Cleanup™ which
is our country’s largest annual cleanup, beautification and community
improvement program.

To register your group in this year’s Great American Cleanup™ return
the attached registration form to us by mail, e-mail, or fax by
Feb. 5.
Complimentary trash bags will be available for litter cleanups. The first
1,000 people to return their registration forms will receive T-shirts. For
those not pre- registered, registration will be held from 8 a.m. to noon
at the Mid County Mini-Transfer & Recycling Facilities, 19675
Kenilworth Blvd., Port Charlotte on March 6.
