The Charlotte County Adopt-A-Road Program owes its
popularity and success to its many dedicated
volunteers.

This program is open to all family, civic or non-profit
organizations, schools, environmental groups,
commercial or private enterprises.  It is an easy
program to implement, not overly time-consuming, and
there are no fees or costs involved.  The group's only
obligation is to remove litter from their adopted section
of roadway four times a year.  The County provides the
necessary safety equipment and identifying signs are
installed to recognize the group's community
contribution.
